“If you believe everything is an illusion then that is your reality…if you don’t like it then change the way you look at the world and the world you see… will change.”
Elder Nomads forge paths in their later years toward better wellbeing. They understand that even with an open heart and an open mind, the body we live in matters. If we don’t take care of our bodies, where will we live? Elder Nomads rediscover the relationship between their health, wellness and wellbeing. This isn’t a journey based solely on how long we live - our chronological lifespan. It is also a journey grounded in how well we live - the quality of our years - health span. All to be explored through physical, cognitive, spiritual and emotional lenses here at Elder Nomad.
Moments are rich in possibilities…and how we greet them matters. Practicing elder spirit principles - sharing stories - will allow us to awaken meaning and purpose at our core. The aim of elder nomad is to offer insights, advice and facilitation to help make your next moments - better moments.
Growing old was never a problem to be solved or a challenge to be overcome. There is a big difference between growing old and aging consciously. Becoming whole and complete - enriching each day - thankfully - joyfully - and with curiosity is key. These are precepts of elder nomads awakening their elder spirit. Find your truth - real or imagined - it’s yours alone.
Be an explorer - discover your strengths at this moment in your life, open your heart and celebrate the mystery of it all. Embrace change and the continuous transitions with wonder, grace and humility.
Each of us will find our way home and no two of us will travel the same path or for the same amount of time. We can learn from each other - walk each other home and share our journey. We believe at our core to only explore what we are doing or would do if we were in a similar mind state as those in our community - this is key to the explorations we do - and change is inevitable.
We will eventually face our own mortality - often more than once - it is inescapable - you know that - and death can - and often does - come without warning. As the sun sets each evening have no regrets - awake each morning thankful. Be kinder to yourself and others - live meaningfully - it begins with you.
“As I discover the gifts of my life I ask myself - what difference do I intend to make in the lives of the people I meet?”
…the universe offers up extraordinary moments if we’re willing to look…
The closer we come to the bridge the more intense the search for wellbeing becomes in body, mind, spirit and emotion
